Quelques résultats sur \(e\) et \(\pi\)

Abstract

This paper explores the irrationality and transcendentality of \(e\) and \(\pi\). We aim to present historical results in their easiest form using only basic analytical tools. Then we present Dirichlet and Liouville's theorems in order to achieve the proof that \(e\) is transcendental. We conclude by a brief proof that \(\pi\) is transcendental invoking Hermite-Lindemann theorem.
